Making Your Site Accessible

We build our websites to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines issues by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an international organisation whose members include Microsoft, AOL and Apple.

Why?

Because under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 you have a legal requirement to make your website accessible to people with disabilities. Plus it makes good business sense, because if you don’t make your website accessible, you’re missing out on potential customers.

There are 14 guidelines with a total of 60 checkpoints.  We use these to create at least the basic levels of accessibility for all our sites, and can, if requested, undertake additional work to ensure a higher level of compliance.
